Immanuel Arasar Ayurveda Medical College, Nattalam, Marthandam was established in the year of 2017 by Dr. Samuel George, Founder Chairman of Immanuel Arasar institution which is a non-profitable and non-minority institution. The Immanuel Arasar College of Ayurveda Medical College is managed by Immanuel Arasar International Institute of Science and Technology Educational and Charitable Trust.
Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayu (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life. Based on the idea that disease is due to an imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment. Ayurveda treatment starts with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation. The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body's constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of ayurvedic medicine. Goals of treatment aid the person by eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms, increasing resistance to disease, reducing worry, and increasing harmony in life. Herbs and other plants, including oils and common spices, are used extensively in Ayurvedic treatment.
The campus expands over 7 acres of land in hillside of Nattalam, Marthandam, kanyakumari dist. The Immanuel Arasar Ayurveda Hospital was established in the year 2017, making for a glorious service in the field of Ayurveda. The campus has specialization in IPD & OPD with Clinical laboratory and dispensary, modernized Ayurveda medicinal pharmacy. Our college campus is on the hillside of westernghats having a herbal garden, auditorium, dissection hall, seperate furnished boys & girls hostel. The campus is surrounded by nature’s magic of medicinal plants thus facilitates a holistic learning and living ambience. Our college is affiliated to The TN.Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. The institution is dedicated to propagate Ayurveda and it is providing world class service to the needy. We are here to propagate Ayurveda by bringing out qualified and expert doctors for the service of mankind.
